Rebirth solves that plateau by granting a permanent income multiplier that stacks across multiple resets while wiping your current speed upgrade tree back to baseline.
The trade is deliberate: you lose velocity until you repurchase speed tiers, but each Brainrot sold afterward earns more coins. Accounts with five rebirth stacks reach Void Trench faster after reset than brand-new accounts with zero stacks reach Cloud Layer—multipliers compound session efficiency even though obby skill requirements stay identical.
Rebirth is not optional for serious collection or Mythic hunting. Zone access still depends on speed, but multiplier stacking determines how many upgrade purchases you afford per hour after each reset. Unlock Requirements
Two gates block rebirth: maxed speed upgrades and an earnings threshold displayed in the rebirth UI. You cannot rebirth early by skipping speed tiers—the game requires full speed investment for that cycle.
